The Conservative leader was embarrassed two years ago when a photograph taken in 1986 emerged showing him alongside other members of the Bullingdon dining club, including Boris Johnson, in bow ties and the club’s £1,200 tail coat.

The question that nobody asked on the Osborne/Cooper QT was:

How much are Balls & Cooper worth, and what proportion of that wealth came from the taxpayer?

As far as I am aware they have a London property portfolio and funds the worth of which would definitely preclude them from high public office: If you follow the logic of the attack on Osborne on that programme.

Osborne’s dad makes expensive wallpaper for the few, Balls-Cooper make excessive paperwork for the many.

I’ve never been worried about rich people. Paying that much for their “uniform” has kept tailors in employment which is no bad thing. Providing that no-one is badly inconvenienced by their actions, and they pay for any damage and trouble caused, so what? It all keeps the working man employed!
An of course Labour is two-faced. Criminals must be forgiven and given a second chance, even if their actions have been a cost to the general public, but politicians mustn’t be forgiven for actions in their youth notwithstanding the fact that they have recompensed anyone inconvenienced by their actions!

LOL. No more detail. But the point is made quite forcibly that we all make mistakes. Let’s not spend time looking for chinks in Cameron, Osborne and Boris’ armour. We all have fun in our youth. Let’s bury this boring argument and I love the title of this piece. Bored of Bullingdon. I would add bored of jealously. Bored of Labour smears.

Yes. I am a little ashamed of what I did. But it was a life experience and ones which taught me alot for later life. In some ways, it is best to have fun when you are young, get the wildness out of your system, then when you are older, you settle into a life of routine and drudgery LOL. I dont care that Boris threw a plant pot through a window to be honest. No one was hurt. He had a slapped wrist and spent a night in the cells. Today he is Mayor and doing a magnificent job for London. We live in a society that sees people built up in the media, ready to be hammered down again.

This is one of the national traits I dislike ie envy of the successful. This is a free society. We all have opportunities to generate wealth and build successful businesses. I remember a school photo of Tony Blair holding a pose with his hand which intimated masturbation! he had his fun at school.

I have been critical of the past of Cameron and Boris but this blog made me think twice. We do criticise wealth. We do criticise when parents pass their wealth on to their kids. But we would all do the same. and I was wild at University. If I was standing for office then the media would have a field day with my earlier life. Today I am a devoted mum of 4, in my student days I experimented with a lesbian affair, had threesomes, took recreational drugs, hence I would would be deemed unfit for office, although today I am as boring as the next person. Strange society
